Can’t find today’s menu? Trust us.

So maybe we got a little spoiled by our food carts. We can all recognize the positives (low overhead costs, a flexible menu, customer interactions) and the negatives (winter weather, not having our own kitchen, the backdrop of cars whizzing by on Greenwood). But when we shut down our food carts, we were struck by how sweet it was. We noticed the little things we took for granted each day, and less than a week into opening Barrio, our restaurant in Bend Oregon, we find ourselves holding onto what we loved about our food carts, even as we slip into our new, fancy shoes.

As food cart vendors, our regular, loyal customer base trusted us. They (you) allowed us to tweak our menus every day, often without notice, and they (you) continued to stop by for whatever surprises were in store on our daily menus. Dining in Bend Oregon would never be quite the same.

In the same spirit, we’re doing our best to keep things fresh–both for our customers and for ourselves–at Barrio. If you’re a cart customer, you’ve trusted us and you know that there will always be something new to try on our menu. The catch? An ever-changing menu may make it tough for those who have never been to Soupcon or El Sancho to come check us out. A restaurant with a menu that’s never the same? We don’t blame you for having mixed feelings.

With that said, we’ve posted our menu (or something like it) on the menu page of our website. We’ll update it seasonally or if/when there is a major change. We hope you’ll take a look to get an idea of what we offer (especially in the new dinner department) and share the page with friends and family.
